I just did a photoshoot in the bookstore (again), and I couldn’t have had a better morning. This portrait is of Val Schaffner, a professor at Syracuse and a rep for MoJo apparel. She is such a passionate individual, and the goal of this organization is heartwarming. In their own words:

Moms and Jobs, Inc. (MoJo) is a newly formed social venture, headquartered in Boston, whose objective is to address the issues facing mothers who are poverty-stricken. By providing freedom from the strain of daycare costs and a new career path for this underserved demographic, MoJo enables a new start for moms who desperately need it. (Source: MoJo Apparel)

Colleen Bidwill is writing the article for The DO, and I’ll definitely repost it here. Congrats to Miss Schaffner and the entire MoJo apparel team for your continued success. If only all business ventures were based on philanthropic values.
